Celebrating Community and Connection: La Romantica Beds Sponsors Three Inspiring Iftars in 2025
This Ramadan, La Romantica Beds was incredibly proud to support not one, but three remarkable Iftar events.
Each unique, but all united by a shared mission: to bring people together, break down barriers, and celebrate inclusivity, sport and community spirit.
- Making History in Nottingham
We kicked things off by sponsoring the first-ever Ramadan Iftar in tennis, held at Nottingham Tennis Centre in collaboration with Muslim Friendly Employers and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
This groundbreaking event was filled with uplifting conversations, powerful guest speakers, and a truly engaged audience.
A huge thank you to Humayun Islam, Alexis Simms, and our very own Siddique Amin (Managing Director at La Romantica Beds) for making it all happen.
We’re proud to support sporting spaces that welcome and reflect the diversity of our communities, and it was heartening to see this spirit shine on the tennis court.
- The Beloved Bradford Bulls Iftar
Next up was the Annual Iftar at Bradford Bulls RLFC, an event that has gone from strength to strength.
Having supported it from the very beginning three years ago, we were once again thrilled to be sponsors.
This year’s gathering was one of the best yet; a true celebration of unity, community, and shared understanding.
Massive thanks go to Ian Stafford, without whom this event wouldn’t be possible, and to Tracy Erby, Dr Ikram Butt, and Humayun Islam for their tireless efforts.
A special mention to MyLahore Restaurants for the fantastic catering – a highlight for many!

- A Powerful First at the National Tennis Centre, London
To round off our Ramadan sponsorships, we supported the first ever Iftar at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre in London – a truly standout evening.
With an inspiring lineup of speakers including Jonathan Hughes (LTA EDI Director), Fizza Abid, Dr Julie Siddiqi MBE and our very own Siddique Amin, the event reflected on faith, representation, and inclusion in sport.
A standout panel hosted by Alexis Simms featured Nalette Tucker, Yasmin Palejwala and Yashmin Harun, all of whom are breaking boundaries for women in sport.
It was an honour to be part of this important moment, one that we hope marks the start of a lasting tradition.
